Albena Bartoshewski was born to Jenny and Andrew Wasylenka on July 8, 1943, in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.  She grew up on a farm north of Wynyard and loved spending time working outside with her dad.Albena married Albert Bartoshewski on October 19, 1963, and they worked and farmed near Bankend. Albert and Albena purchased a local Bankend store, which they converted into a steakhouse and ran for over 35 years.  Albena also ran the Bankend Post Office for over 30 years and only retired in 2017 when her mobility made it impossible for her to work. She loved the opportunity to visit with everyone who came into the post office. Albena enjoyed helping people and giving back to her community and was always sharing meals and garden vegetables with her neighbours.Albena was predeceased by her husband Albert; her parents, Jenny and Andrew Wasylenka; brothers-in-law, Jake and Mike Bartoshewski; and in-laws, John and Mary Bartoshewski.She is survived by her sons, Aaron (Pam) and Darren (Carol); grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha (Tyler), Abby and Ella; great-grandson Everett; brother Elmer (Bette); sister Janet (Dennis); sisters-in-law, Merle (Joe) Wasylynka, Margaret (Henry) Dayday and Mavis Bartoshewski; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
