Charles Alexander Leonard Sadler of Wynyard, SK passed away on September 17, 2021, in Wynyard, SK at the age of 85. He was born on October 9, 1935, to Herbert and Elizabeth on the homestead in the Lampard area north of Dafoe, SK. Alex married Karen Martin on July 18, 1959, in Wynyard. Alex and Karen had four children: Terry, Rodney, Debra and Sandra.
Alex had many occupations through the years. He spent many years farming, having his own business trucking, operating heavy machinery, and hauling scrap metal. He also spent time working in the oil patch on the Alaska highway and as a mechanic. He was truly a jack of all trades and was always in search of a new adventure.
Alex enjoyed spending time in B.C. being on the Alaska highway and working on the farm. He was a very social man; you could sit and have coffee with him and talk to him for hours.
Alex passed away peacefully at the Golden Acres Lodge with his wife, daughter, and son by his side.
Alex is survived by his wife Karen of Wynyard, SK; daughter Debra Spuzak of Wynyard, SK; son Terry Sadler of Wynyard, SK; granddaughters Michelle Spuzak of Saskatoon, SK and Barbara (James) Dyck of Humboldt, SK; great grandsons Nathan Froats, Dylan Froats and Bentley Dyck of Humboldt, SK; sister Margaret (Stein) Heide of Powell River, B.C.; brothers Wayne (Bonnie) Sadler of Wynyard, SK, Gordon (Joan) Sadler of Redcliff, AB and Doug (Darlene) Sadler of Quesnel, B.C., as well as many nieces and nephews.
