Anna Agnes Olson of Spalding, SK, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at Parkland Place in Melfort, SK, at the age of 87 years.
Born on April 13, 1937, to Rupert and Anna Hofmann in Spalding, SK, Anna lived a life dedicated to her family and community. She married Dallas Olson on November 25, 1961, in St. Martin’s Church, located west of Spalding. Throughout her life, Anna served as a nurse’s aide at the Spalding Hospital, a devoted farm wife, and a loving homemaker. She shared her passion for crafting by teaching sewing to the local 4-H group.
Anna had a wide range of interests that enriched her life and those around her. She enjoyed cooking, sewing quilts, gardening, and watching craft shows. The holiday season brought her joy as she made lefse with care, and she cherished her trips to the SAAN store in Melfort. Most importantly, Anna loved spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories that they will carry with them always.
Anna is survived by her two sons, Tal (Brenda) Olson of Edmonton, AB, and their children Nathan and Jacqueline; and Kim (Dinah) Olson of Spalding, and their children Tyler, Cole, Ethan, Kate, and Violet. She is also survived by her sisters Lucy Mohagen, Rita (Murray) Little, and Hermine (Raymond) Rediger, as well as her brother Robert (Pam) Hofmann.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Dallas Olson; parents Rupert and Anna Hofmann; sister Mary Morin; and brother Johnny Hofmann.
Anna's kind spirit, nurturing heart, and dedication to her family will be profoundly missed.
