Anne Bashutski (nAC.e Lalach) was born on the family farm to Harry and Mary (nAC.e Woynarski) on November 16, 1927. She was the oldest of 19 children. Anne grew up in the Krasne area, attending Rushville School.
She worked in Wynyard for a time for Anne Rysak, then in Watson, waitressing for Mike and Annie Kachur.
Anne married John Bashutski on September 12, 1948, and they moved to a farm southwest of Wishart, where they resided until John's death. Anne was a busy farm wife, raising chickens, turkeys, geese and pigs, milking cows and harvesting a large garden and orchard, canning and freezing the vegetables and fruit to feed her family.
Anne began the first of six moves in January 2012, moving from senior lodges to nursing homes, where she resided until her passing.
Anne was predeceased by her husband John; parents, Harry and Mary Lalach; sister and brother-in-law, Olga and Bill Kachur; step-mother Jean (nAC.e Pawlowski); sister Irene Demeres; daughter-in-law Connie; great-granddaughters, Avery and Danica Riley; and great-grandson Brayden Anderson.
Left to cherish Anne's memory and celebrate her life are her ten children: Mervin (Connie Semesock), Margie (Frank Ricci), Donald (Melanie Bolton), Ken, Joan (Brian Root), Larry (Lorretta Sentes), Allan (Janice Fenton), Karen (Lyle Edison), Mike (Jenny Albers) and David (Rebecca Saez Arvizo); 25 grandchildren and their 12 spouses; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike, Nick, Steve, Walter, Sam, Bill, Ray, Joe, Harry, Fred, Peter and Paul Lalach; step-brother Anton Wasyluk; sisters, Katie Reid, Helen Keyowski and Elsie Sorochuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
