Annie Kusey (Moroz) was born on March 15, 1918, to Carl and Jenny Moroz. Annie went to Touchwood School. She was the oldest child and helped her mom and dad with the daily farming activities as well as with the care of her five siblings as they grew older. Annie worked on the family farm until she met and later married Mac Kusey in November 1938. They started life together, working and getting to own their own farm in the Wishart district. They raised two sons, Wilmar and Nestor. Annie enjoyed farm life to the fullest. She never backed away from any task at hand - whether it be in the kitchen or outdoors. She always maintained a diligent work ethic and was always busy. She enjoyed planting gardens (and had a special passion for her flower arrangements). She was always eager to bake buns and bread for family and friends. Making Easter Paska bread was another yearly passion that she truly enjoyed. Annie was a long-time member of the local Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Wishart, helping along with other parish members, to keep the church viable. On October 7, 2010, Annie took up residence in a private nursing home, Wan-Dor Inn, in Foam Lake. On December 6, 2010, she moved to Central Park Lodge in Lanigan, where she stayed until she made her final move to Golden Acres in Wynyard in Feburary 2011. Annie was predeceased by her husband Mac; parents, Carl and Jenny Moroz; infant brother Bill; brother Mike Moroz and sister-in-law Nellie Moroz; sister Mary Wolitski and brother-in-law Carl Wolitski; sister Bella Bzdel and brother-in-law Paul Bzdel; brother-in-law Russell Kachur; and sister Roselie Mazur of Winnipeg. Annie is survived by her beloved sons, Wilmar and friend Eileen Kentz of Yorkton and Nestor of Wishart; her two grandchildren, Robbin and Devin Kusey of Calgary; sister Myrtle Kachur of Edmonton; brother-in-law Edward Mazur of Winnipeg; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
