William George Haas passed away on June 13 in Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. He was born on March 22, 1961, in Kelvington to parents George and Yvonne Haas.
Bill lived on the family farm northeast of Kelvington until they moved into Kelvington in 1969. He worked for his dad George and uncle Pete, farming and on construction. He worked for a couple of different construction companies until he found himself back at home working for Haas Construction.
In the early 90s Billy and Roland created R&B Crushing, and their company grew tremendously from there.
On January 27, 1996, Bill was married to Melissa Hope. They were blessed with two children: Ashley and Jeremy. Although Bill was a very hard worker, his passion was his family. He took pride in making his hometown of Kelvington a better place in which to live.
Bill was predeceased by his dad, George Hass; grandparents, John and Margaret Hass, and Bill and Annie Bulkeley; brother-in-law Keith Godlien; and by numerous aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ashley (D’Neil) Korolchuk and grandson D’Nali; his son Jeremy Haas; mother Yvonne Haas; brothers and sisters, Brenda (James) Traquair, Debbie (James) Hand, Val (Les) Steed, Doug Haas, Cathy Clark (Gary Ward) and Roland Haas; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
