When Bill was nearly a year old, his parents purchased a farm in the Kuroki area. Bill attended Rosa School, a one-room country school, for grades one to eight. During this time, Bill acted as school janitor for a year or two.
Throughout his lifetime, Bill worked at a variety of jobs. He was a farmer, a logger, a builder, a welder, and a mechanic.
In April 2017, due to his failing health, Bill moved into Kelvindell Lodge. He passed away on August 20, 2017, with his family at his side.
Bill was a great son, big brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cousin; a loving and caring husband for over 50 years to Anne; a devoted father to his two sons, Clayton and David, and daughter-in-law Natasha; and a true friend to so many.
