Clayton was born to John & Iris Onufreychuk on October 11, 1968, at Foam Lake, Sk. Clayton attended Sheho Elementary Foam Lake High School. The youngest boy of eight siblings grew up on the family farm. When the neighbours would stop by, you would soon find him at the tires pulling the mud off the rims and eating it! Clayton was a very venturous little guy at an early age, one day he decided to make snares out of baler twine to snare gophers. From that day on he got his nickname 'Gopher'.
Clayton worked for various local farmers and local construction companies in his younger years. In his mid-twenties, he ventured south and found his love for the oil patch, where he was employed for many years. He currently was employed at TnT Oilfield Services Ltd. His work was his passion up until the very end. He would strike up a conversation, whether B.S. or not and made friends wherever he went. Everybody loved him. He truly valued his extended family, coworkers, and friends.
Clayton enjoyed the farm life; he was an avid hunter and enjoyed every moment outdoors. He spent countless hours in the bush collecting deer sheds as he added to his huge collection. And yes "Bambi" will meet him up at the pearly gates. He was a hard worker and strong-minded individual who would tackle any task without risk. Clayton was a good mentor to many, whether it was skills he learned on the farm, or operating new equipment. His humor and jokes would light up a room. The pranks he played on his nieces & nephews will forever be etched in their hearts.
Clayton has joined his beloved grandparents, Alex and Annie Onufreychuk, along with Steve and Patti Koroluk, in eternity. He is now reunited with his parents, John and Iris Onufreychuck, and his brother-in-law Walter Essar, as well as his great-niece Larissa Babichuk.
Clayton will forever hold a place in the hearts of his son Chad, granddaughter Everlee, his loving sisters Shirley, Valerie (Jim), Terri, Janice (Ross), Holly (Dale), Marcy, his devoted brother Dale (Sharon), and his close family friend Joan.
He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as cousins, co-workers, and countless friends whose lives he touched deeply. Clayton's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege to know and love him.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support and genuine kindness to everyone who has reached out to them to express their condolences.
