will be held on

Archerwill Community Hall

Dale Alfred Carlson was born on April 19, 1966, in Rose Valley, SK. He attended Archerwill and Rose Valley Schools. He spent time working on the sawmill with his dad before he joined the work force right out of school.

Dale was a diamond driller who worked in exploration and mining for over 30 years. Midwest, Boart Longyear and Team Drilling are some of the companies he worked for. He had plenty of stories from the places he worked – from Resolute Bay and Baker Lake in the far north, Mexico, Nicaragua and Guatemala in the south, and from coast to coast in Canada. Dale made many lifetime friends while working.

A good action flick, game of cards, Scrabble or a crib tournament were all things Dale enjoyed. He was always up for a new adventure too – like axe throwing.

A juicy steak on the barbecue, a shiny new Camaro and a cold beer were all favourites, too.

Dale had a tenacity and determination to get the job done. He NEVER complained, had a wonderful sense of humour and a constitution that was envied.

Dale passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at 11:53 a.m. on July 14, 2017.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lois, in November, 2011.

Dale leaves to mourn his father, Carl Carlson; siblings Marlene Carlson (Daniel and Reena, Walker and Gunner); Merv and Marlene Carlson (Ashten and Jay), Carolyn and Randy Shelton (Burke and Shelby and Lillian, Matthew, Addison and Cara), Jenny and Wade Bakken (Kieran and Kyler); daughter, Cassandra and Prince Macuguy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous lifelong good friends.
