David Mckle

April 26, 1929 - December 9, 2015

David George Mickle was born on April 26, 1929, at home on the farm at Regina Beach to George and Agnes Mickle. In 1934 they moved to the Paswegin area and in 1937 they moved to the farm west of Wadena. Dave went to Tiger Lily School where he attained Grade 10 and he did Grade 11 by correspondence. He helped out on the farm until the age of 17 when he left to move to Regina where he learned his trade as an auto body man.

He and a friend moved out East where he worked as a body man for several years. He met his first wife, Sally, and they had four children together: David, Deborah, Ronald and Darlene.

He moved home bringing the kids and worked out of a shop at the farm and helped his dad on the farm. He met Sharon Beard in 1966 and they were married on September 2, 1972. They had one daughter, Tammy.

Dave and Sharon built a home, shop and gas station on the bottom of the farmland along Highway 5. He farmed and worked in his shop until he and Sharon moved into Wadena in 2006. In 2009, Dave moved into Pleasant View Care Home where he lived until his death.

Left to mourn are his wife Sharon; son David (Heather), daughter Deborah (Pierre), son Ron (Sheilah), daughter Darlene (Rick) and daughter Tammy (Jeff); grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
