Dean Skaalrud was born in Humboldt, SK on November 13, 1963, the second born son to Lloyd and Dorothy Skaalrud.
In 1973, they moved to the Hendon grid, that is where Dean learned hard work and dedication to his family. Dean graduated high school and begin working for CNR working on a crew that fixed the rail lines.
He later had 3 children Dustin, Danielle, and Kevin. He moved to Lloydminster where he spent most of his years working in the oilfield and dedicating his spare time to his 3 children, when he was not working.
In 2016, Dean had a stroke which stopped him from being able to work. That gave him more time with his kids and TONS of time with his 7 grandchild that loved him dearly.
In 2019, Dean moved to the Archerwill area, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Dean is survived and will be greatly missed by his 3 children, 7 grandchildren, his 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is predeceased by his mother and father Dorothy and Lloyd Skaalrud.
