Debra was born on October 21, 1950, in Wadena to Mike and Georgina Hepp. She passed away on August 18, 2015, 2015, at Royal University Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents and by her father- and mother-in-law, Francis and Eileen Friesen. Left behind to mourn her passing are Garth, her husband of 44 years; her children, Cindy and Stephen; sisters, Delma (Wilbur) Schmidt, Linda (Stan) Kuras, and Velda (Keith) Folster; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordon & Barbara Friesen and Garry & Lynne Turnbull; as well as numerous nieces and nephews too numerous to list. (You all know who you are.)Debra enjoyed her crafts over the years and her most-loved one was painting. She never thought of herself as having a talent for it - she just liked to do it she said. One year she was commissioned to paint a mural at Meacham featuring the old fabric store. Now that's talent! She had two other great joys - one was camping at Fishing Lake with family and friends, playing loads of crib and scrabble with her cousins, Wendy and Sylvia (and not very nicely!) And the other was her little buddy Juno (a miniature American Eskimo Husky). Mom used to say his cuteness saved his ass!Debra had a heart of gold and at times a very warped sense of humour. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
