On Friday, April 17, 2015, Dell passed away peacefully in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 81. Dell was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Clarence Henderson, and by his brother MacKenzie. He is survived by Eileen, his loving wife of 50 years, and his children, Sherwin (Debbie), Courtney and Leren; Crystal (Michael), Madison and Morgan; Shawn (Remi); Shane (Chea), Graden and Greta; Shannon (Dennis), Payton and Jack; and Cory (Lorie), Jacob, Sarah, Julia and Rachel. Dell was born on November 18, 1933, in the Horse Lake District. He attended Fire Fly School, where his mother taught, and later graduated from Foam Lake High School. From there he went on to the School of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. After university he returned home to resume responsibility of the family farm, until retirement in 2012. Dell had a love for hockey. Sometimes you could find him at the rink seven days a week! He truly enjoyed coaching the sport. Most of all, however, he enjoyed his grandchildren and the activities in which they took an interest. In his spare time, Dell enjoyed boating, fishing, puzzling, playing cards and visiting with his friends. Because of his kind nature, we will all hold Dell's memory dear and appreciate his sense of peace.
