It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful young lady Desiree Ocean Slippery.
Desiree was born on June 9, 1991 in Saskatoon, SK. She was born to Ivan Nanaquewitung and late Ida Slippery of Fishing Lake First Nation.
Desiree was known to be a kind, funny, loving, caring, and comical young lady. Even though she had her struggles, she always came through them with a smile on her face. Desiree enjoyed doing her hair and make up, and especially loved posting her selfies on Facebook. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She also loved her two beautiful daughters Nevaya (14) and Aja (10) more than anything in this world.
She leaves behind to mourn her father Ivan (Katie); her sisters Kelly (Jeff), Santana (Stacy), and Terrilyn (Henry); her brothers Conrad (Amber), and Cory; her step siblings and also her second mother who raised her Dianne Nanaquatung.
Desiree is predeceased by her mother Ida Slippery; her maternal grandparents Andrew and Susie Slippery; her paternal grandparents Jack and Stella Nanaquewitung.
Desiree will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
