Dorothy Mae Braaten was born on October 6, 1922. She was one of eight children born to James and Bertha Smith of Invermay, SK. Dorothy remained in Invermay and married Frank Robson in 1944.
Frank and Dorothy had two sons; Ernest was born in August of 1945 and Garry was born in January of 1947.
The family farm was always a busy place for everyone and a life that we enjoyed, until Frank's early and sudden passing in September of 1965.
Dorothy remained on the farm until March of 1970 at which time she married Fred Braaten and moved to Margo,a��SK.
Dorothy was predeceased by her grandparents, parents, her first husband Frank Robson, her second husband Fred Braaten and her eldest son, Ernest Robson; sisters Jean (Carlson) and Edith (Hurd);brothers Art and Earl Smith; brothers- and sisters-in-law Clarence and Gus Carlson, Bennie Benson, Doreen Smith, Pete and Marion Wesolowski, Bob and Alice Rumbold, Eddie and Ann Braaten, Lorne and Edna Elliott, Cliff and Eileen Evans, Mabel Braaten, Harry, Elmer, Ray, Art, Herb, Richard and Andrew Braaten and special friend Roger Rumbold.
She leaves to mourn her son Garry (Margaret)a��Robson of Foam Lake, SK, grandson Corey (Jilena), Aiden and Alaia Robson of Twaassen, BC and Kevin Robson of Vancouver, BC; daughter-in-law Madeline Robson, grandson Brent (Jodi), Skylar, Willow and Hayden of Lloydminster, AB; sisters Vera Benson of Wadena and Verna Carlson of Saskatoon; brother Donald (Hazel) Smith of Invermay; in-laws Grace Braaten of Saskatoon, Ray Braaten of Swan River, Kay Grunert of Kelvington as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
