Doug was born on October 24th 1951 in the Wadena hospital, he was the second child of Bill and Dorothy Reed. He passed away December 6th 2014 at the Kelvington hospital following a brave battle with cancer.

Doug grew up on the family farm south of Leslie, with his two sisters Judy and Norma. He enjoyed softball, curling and fast cars but he loved the farm most and was always happiest farming with his dad and working the land. He always wanted to be a farmer.

Doug attended school in Leslie and Foam Lake graduating in 1969. Doug worked in construction in the 70s and 80s throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta.

He met the love of his life Patricia Reed in the late 80s and moved to Regina, they married in 1994. Doug not only became a husband, he became a Dad and Grandpa.

Doug drove truck for many years while he continued to work on the farm. Patricia retired and they moved to the farm full time. Doug continued working and farming never considering retirement he was doing what he loved.

Doug was a loving, caring, gentle Husband, Dad, Brother, Brother in Law, Uncle, Grandpa and Friend. He is loved and missed by all of us who had the pleasure of having him in our lives.
