Eddie Rumbold

It is with profound sadness that family of Eddie Douglas Rumbold announce his passing on July 7th, 2022, at the age of 77.

Eddie was born in Wadena, SK on June 7th, 1945. He grew up on the family farm, and after leaving Mckinley School, Eddie took up farming with his dad and brother. Eddie had a mixed cattle and grain operation but anyone who knew Eddie, knew he preferred the cows over the grain.

Eddie met Donna Mae Swartz, and they were married on July 1, 1967. They stayed on Eddie’s farm and had 4 children-- Pam, Monte, Roley, and Joshua. Eddie enjoyed being outdoors quadding, hunting, and horseback riding. He also held a special place in his heart with AA and attended several roundups.

After the passing of his beloved wife Donna in 1999, he got remarried to Irene Martel in 2000. Eddie and Irene lived on the farm until their retirement in 2017.

Eddie will be dearly missed by his children Pam (Lloyd) Forseth, Monte (Andra) Rumbold, Roley (Megan) Rumbold, Josh (Joanna) Rumbold,  Sister Mildred (Rob) White,  Grandchildren Nicole (Chad) Robert, Becky Forseth, Colby Rumbold, Hanna Rumbold, Brody Rumbold, Boyd Rumbold and Emmett Rumbold, and two great-grandchildren Brynleigh Robert and Bella Forseth.  He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A private celebration of Eddie’s life will take place this week.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stars air ambulance and the Alzheimer’s society of Saskatchewan.
