Edward (Eddie) passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018, in the Pleasant View Care Home in Wadena at the age of 89. On this day Eddie was reunited with Antonia on their 67th wedding anniversary.Eddie was born on September 18, 1929, on a farm southeast of Invermay. He attended Loch Sloy School for a few years and helped his parents with the farm work. Eddie married Antonia Fidek on October 23, 1951. They moved three miles southwest, where they made their new home. Eddie and Antonia continued farming and Eddie also worked as a cat skinner.Eddie and Antonia were blessed with four children: Pat, Chris, Ben and David. Antonia and Eddie remained on the farm until they moved to Wadena in 2006. Eddie was a hard worker ensuring his family was always taken care of. He was a great neighbour, dropping his own work if necessary to help a friend. Eddie loved gardening, cooking and baking goodies to share. We all have special memories of our favourites. He was a proud member of the St. Anthony’s Parish Knights of Columbus, where he served as president for a number of years.
