Only two weeks after the sudden passing of his wife, Kathy, Eldon passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 70. Eldon grew up on a farm near Wishart, Saskatchewan. His love of animals and the land was deep-rooted. He spent time in the Federated Co-op system, then became an entrepreneur with Dairy Producers and Lustre Lawns. He enjoyed his final days in retirement on the farm where three generations of his family had loved the land for over a century.
Eldon was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Cossar, and his parents, Allan and Alice Cossar. He is survived by his two sons, Sheldon (Connie) Cossar of Regina and Jaydee Cossar of Vancouver, and his grandson, Sterling Cossar. Eldon is also survived by his brother Lorne Cossar of Weyburn, brother-in-laws, Wally (Mary) Woodward of Halifax, Wilf Woodward of Rosetown, sister-in-laws Linda Mihalicz of Regina, and Gloria Woodward (Ken) of Cupar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a joint interment for Eldon and Kathy at the Stone Church at a later date for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to:
