Eunice May Carson (Vipond), age 76, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017, at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, Sask. After a two-and-a-half-year struggle with health issues, Eunice is now at peace.
Eunice was the eldest and only daughter of John and Annie Vipond. She grew up with four younger brothers, Leslie, Elmer, Harold and Phyllip. They lived in the KewGarden District east of LacVert and attended the KewGarden school.
As a young woman, Eunice enjoyed curling and dancing. She was an outgoing person who loved people in general and was a joy to be around. While attending a dance at KewGarden School, she met a young man, David Carson. Two years later, on December 11,1959, Eunice and David were married and with this union came three children, Sally, Frank and Arnie. A couple years after getting married, they moved to the Carson family farm east of Naicam, where they resided until 1984 then they moved into Naicam.
Eunice was a hard worker who seemed to accomplish many things all at once. She cared for her family, her home, had a big garden and helped on the farm. She also worked for homecare for 17 years. She had a passion for decorating cakes and did several wedding cakes as well as for other occasions. But her biggest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would love just sitting and watching them play. She loved family gatherings and usually hosted them up until she was unable to do so.
Eunice was a kind-hearted person who always put others ahead of herself. She will be sadly missed by many, her smile, her sense of humor, that sparkle in her eyes when she was happy or excited. She was an affectionate soul who made us all feel so loved and we all loved her so much!
Eunice was predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Vipond; her parents-in-law, Chester and Aagot Carson; brother Leslie Vipond; sisters-in-law, Florence Vipond and Dorothy Kranz; brothers-in-law, Ken Kranz and John Fitzpatrick; and nephew Dwayne Vipond.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband David; children, Sally, Frank (Debbie), Arnie (Kayla); 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and another on the way; her brothers, Elmer Vipond, Harold (Irene) Vipond and Phyllip (Darlene) Vipond; sisters-in-law, Fern Fitzpatrick and Jean Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
