Eva Anne Dodd (Tuscher) passed away September 7, 2018, in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 75. Eva was born on June 30, 1943, in the Raymore District at home on 8-29-18 W2nd to Jeanne and Alois Tuscher. Eva was the youngest in the family growing up on the family farm with an older sister Mary and two older brothers, Maurice and Arnold. She attended Flanders School with her other siblings. Eva never really like school much and attended to grade 8. After Eva quit school, she worked for many different people as a housekeeper helping with chores and looking after kids in her early years. There were a few of the many places she talked often about Greenshield’s, Baker’s, Runolfson’s and Rattai’s some of these places she became part of the family.  She also worked in Nokomis in the restaurant for Sam. In 1963, Eva was married to Robert Dodd, son of Hilda and William Dodd from the Arbury district. They had four children: JoAnn, born in 1964; Sherry, born in 1965; Glen born in 1968; and Darcy, born in 1971. Life was busy raising four little ones. Eventually, Bob and Eva separated and both remained in Raymore. In 1973, Eva met Edwin Degelman and they started a new life together moving to a farm eight miles north of Raymore (Bing’s farm), where they lived for approximately 14 years. Here they made their farming life together. Eva enjoyed farm life as this was how she had grown up. She soon had a herd of milk cows and was shipping cream and raising chickens and selling eggs in addition to always having a house full of kids. She always had a huge garden and one could always find her in it even on the hottest day. She loved the hot days and was not one to sit in the shade and relax. In the fall of 1987, they purchased a house a mile south of Raymore from Edwin’s brother Brian, and this was her home until her passing. After Ed passed away, she became keeper of the yard, always monitoring the vehicles coming and going and making sure all the lights were off in the shop. If they weren’t, you were made aware of it!She was predeceased by her parents, Alois Tuscher in 1970, Jeanne in 1997; her brothers, Maurice in 1995 and Arnold in 2014; sister-in-law Linda in 2001 and nephew Miles in 1985; brother in-law Colly; and life-long partner Edwin Degelman in 2011.She is survived by her children, JoAnn (Keith) Purdue, Sherry (Barry) Laic, Glen (Sandra) Dodd and Darcy Dodd; her adoring grandchildren, Jasmine (Keatin) McEachern, Kayla (Koel) Daylan Probst and their mother Rita; Brandon (Brittany) and Shayne Purdue; Edwin Dodd and his mother Sylvia (John); Alysha (Matt) Baker, Kristin Cook (Rick) Jayda, Hailey, Tanner and Carter Schachtel; Chelsea Cook (Kyle) Sophia and Lukas.
