Eva was born in Ukraine on April 17, 1930. She arrived in Canada when she was 4 months old. Since 1931 she has always lived in the area.

In 1950, she married Harold Maas and they had four childred: Arvid (1953-1958), Shirley, Tom and Betty. Harold passed away on October 28, 1976.

Eva married Olaf Egge on October 20, 1979. For much of her life she lived on a farm and did everything from gardening, sewing and knitting to milking cows and helping with harvest. In 1991 Eva and Olaf moved to Kelvington. They always loved travelling and doing everything together. She really enjoyed the outdoors whether it was fishing, camping, berry picking or just taking a walk. Winters found her making quilts, baking buns and, in later years, curling.

Eva was predeceased by her parents Gabriel and Pearl Onyskiw, her son Arvid and her siblings Kay Pesme, Mary Strome, Andy Onyskiw and Bill Onyskiw. She leaves to mourn her husband of 39 years Olaf, her children Shirley Wisemiller, Tom Maas and Betty (Donald) Fletcher, grandchildren Steven (Brooke) Fletcher, Melissa Fletcher, Devin Maas and Ryan Maas, great grandchildren Elizabeth Wisemiller and Elsa Fletcher, brother Jon (Ida) Onyskiw, sisters-in-law Jean Egge and Anita Onyskiw and all her extended family who held a special spot in her heart.
