Faye Nakonechny (nee Ben), 102 of Regina, was born Mar 19, 1915 near Jasmin, SK the 7th of 10 children of Theodore (Fred) Ben and Ahaphia (Agatha, nee Bulycz).  She passed away peacefully Nov 24th, 2017, in Saskatoon. Faye is lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Michelle (Grant) Engele of Saskatoon, SK, Janelle (Todd) Buhler, great grandchildren Kyran, Zachary and Zayne of Chestermere, AB, and son-in-law George Bentz (Mary Jane Dornstauder) of Leross, SK. Faye was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1977, her only child Josephine Bentz in 1998, her parents, all of her siblings and their spouses, except sisters-in-law Anna Ben, Saskatoon, SK, Annie Nokonechny, Regina and Nora Nakonechny, Balcarres, SK. Faye was an industrious, inventive woman, with a fierce independence.  After their marriage in 1942, she and her husband Joe farmed south of Leross and later retired to Regina in 1974. Faye enjoyed visiting with family and friends, baking, cooking, crocheting, sewing, gardening and shopping.  Faye loved her family, watching the Blue Jays & curling and was a natural green thumb, planting perrenials in her 90s. The mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday Dec 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church 425 Broad St N, Regina SK. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul’s

Hospital & Dr. Margaret McMahon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
