Our hearts are broken in a million pieces as we announce the passing of our dear dad Gunnar, on May 17th, 2022, of Yorkton Saskatchewan and formerly of Leslie, Saskatchewan.
Gunnar was born August 28, 1936, to Frederick and Asta Nordal on their family farm by Leslie, Saskatchewan.
Gunnar married Helen Rose on September 29, 1962 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. This was their 60th year side by side. Together they raised a beautiful family. Gunnar was a gentle loving man who truly enjoyed spending time with his family; he will be missed deeply.
Gunnar started farming as a young boy and he thoroughly enjoyed farming, cattle and horses. He enjoyed country living his entire life! “Once a farmer, always a farmer”. Gunnar was a proud member and leader of the Elfros 4H Club for over 16 years, as well as the Leslie curling club and Mount Hecla Community. In the last 13 years Gunnar found a passion for restoring old tractors and restore he did!
