Fredrick Gylan Josephson of Quill Lake, SK passed away on October 14, 2019 in Wynyard, SK at the age of 80. Gylan was born on September 13, 1939 to Ted and Margaret Josephson northeast of Mozart, SK.

Gylan married Steinunn Ivonne Helgason on August 3, 1959 north of Mozart, SK. He was a teacher for 35 years and was an active member of the Kinsmen and the Quill Lake Curling Club. Gylan enjoyed life! Golf, curling, dancing, rum, campfires, piano (music in general), puzzles, woodworking, architecture, barbequing, spotting and checking crops were some of his favorite activities.

Gylan is survived by his son Farley (Lisa) Josephson of Mozart, SK; daughter Shanna (David) Carriere of Alida, SK; granddaughters Chelsey (Wes) Carriere, Monica (Josh) Elliott, Kendra Josephson and Heather Josephson; grandson Travis (Lyndsey) Carriere; great grandchildren Karissa, Daylan, Koden, Reece and Harlon; brother Conlin (Joan) Josephson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ivonne Josephson; parents Ted and Margaret Josephson; brother Clarence Josephson; sister Joey (Harold) Skafel; sister-in-law Sianne Chasky; brother-in-law Harold Skafel; mother and father-in-law Simbi and Anna Helgason; niece Val Dranchuk and nephews Perry Chasky and Brad Skafel.
