Ida Chuback was called home by the Lord on August 22, 2021, at the age of 84. Ida was surrounded by her loving family at her bedside at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK after suffering a heart attack.

Ida was born in Wadena, SK on August 3, 1937, to James and Edith Messenger, the youngest of five children. Ida married Walter Chuback in June of 1955 after many train trips between Wadena and Kuroki, SK. The young couple settled in Kuroki, raising their family and were a corner stone in the community.

Ida’s love of dancing had her joining the Wadena Singles Club which she was a member for many years. She moved to Saskatoon in 1990 to be closer to her children.

Ida was predeceased by the love of her life Walter, son-in-law Bill, daughter-in-law Valerie and sisters May, Doris, and Ethel.

Ida will be deeply missed by her children, Liz Perron (Bill), Lucy Chuback (Malcolm Tweidt), Kathy Groot (Maurice Vinet), Peter Chuback (Valerie), Delous Scutchings (Brent) Robert Chuback (Myrna Cutting), twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, her sister Alice Fidelak and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
