Janet Szafron of Kelvington passed away on September 26, 2019 in Saskatoon, at the age of 72. She was born on October 27, 1946 to Elmer and Lena Sjolie in Preeceville, Saskatchewan. She married Dennis Szafron on August 31, 1968 in Sturgis, Saskatchewan. She was a Home Economics teacher in Hanley and Kelvington as well as owner and business manager of Davidson Drug.

Her garden was her pride and joy but she also had a passion for reading, fishing and camping. She is survived by loving husband Dennis, daughters Michelle Szafron of Hanover, Ontario and Nicole Emery and her husband Michael and grandsons Matthew and Noah of Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was predeceased by her twin sister Joan and survived by sisters Mildred and Lorna and brother Donald, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Kelvington Ambulance Service, the Kelvington Hospital, STARS and RUH in Saskatoon for their care of Janet. We are grateful to Shirley Payne, the Evening Circle Ladies, all Janet’s friends and the community for their outpouring of help and sympathy.
