Jean Elizabeth (Hood) Grabarczyk Obituary

Jean Elizabeth (Hood) Grabarczyk passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Regina, SK, at the age of 87. 

Predeceased by her parents George and Margery, brother Vern, husband John, son Roderick, and grandson Ethan. She will be remembered lovingly by her children: Yvonne (Gordon), Ashley (Devin), Aria; Amber (Curtis), Daisy; Chester (Carla), Eva (Braeden), Cruz; Basil (Andrea), Hayley, and Desana; Jeremy; Jennifer; daughter-in-law Maureen, Ryan, Rachelle, and Mya. Jean is also survived by numerous family members and friends who cherished her.

Jean was a devoted wife and mother, known for her gentle, caring, and compassionate nature. She always worked hard to ensure that everyone was taken care of. Jean truly enjoyed life on the farm, where she could tend to her animals, cultivate a large garden, and relish the gifts of mother nature.

She shared a special bond with her five sisters, whom she loved dearly.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Regina General Hospital 6F and Queen Victoria Estates for their care and compassion. They would also like to acknowledge April Antic, Jean’s personal caregiver, for the exceptional care and support she provided Jean.

A funeral service was held on Friday, July 26th, at St. Vladimir Church in Kelliher, SK, at 2 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jean's name to the Kelliher Memorial Gardens, Box 385, Kelliher, Saskatchewan, S0A 1V0.
