In Loving Memory of
James "Jim" Wright
It is with a sorrowful heart that we announce the passing of James Gordon Wright of Kelvington, SK. James (Jim) passed peacefully on June 9, 2020, at the age of 90, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
James G. Wright was born in Wadena, SK. He attended Duck Creek School and completed his high school in Kelvington. In the late 40’s and early 50’s, Jim worked at the theatre in Kelvington. In the early 50’s he left Kelvington to find his way in this world. Jim worked as an interior designer, oil patch worker, D.E.W. Liner and an electrician. Jim’s work took him across Canada and the USA, finally settling into Winnipeg. It was in Winnipeg, after the passing of Jim’s first wife Hazel, that Jim met his surviving spouse Shirley.
Jim repatriated back to Kelvington in 2003 with Shirley, where they settled in a beautiful love story. Having lived to the ripe age of 90, Jim enjoyed a full life. His presence will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.
Jim is survived by his spouse Shirley E. Wright and his two sisters Shirley Elliott and Francis Pearson. Jim’s memory is survived by many nieces and nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
