John Maryniak

March 2, 1942 - February 8, 2016

John William Maryniak was born on March 2, 1942, to Paul and Mary Maryniak. He grew up on the farm near Nora.
On February 8, 1964, he married Lillian Dowling. They made their home near Archerwill, where they raised three children: Elden, Brenda and Donna.
John worked at several jobs throughout the years. He painted elevators, worked as a mechanic and as a carpenter, but the farm was always where he wanted to be.
After Lillian's passing in 2009, life on the farm just wasn't the same. He sold his cows and moved to Tisdale in 2010, but he never really wanted to live in town. John passed away on February 8, 2016, which would have been their 52nd wedding anniversary.
John was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Maryniak; wife Lillian; daughter Brenda Woloshyn; infant son Gordon; infant grandson Jason Irvine; brother Joe; sister Annie Manyk; brothers-in-law, Andrew Dowling, Albert Dowling and Tony Kanak; sisters-in-law, Marion Ochitwa and Nancy Maryniak.
Left to mourn are his son Elden Maryniak; daughter Donna (Bruce) Irvine, Charissa and Michelle; son-in-law Derrick Woloshyn, Matthew (Dorothy), Daniel, and Logan; brothers, Nick (Carol), Andrew (Sheila) and Alex (Shirley); sister Helen Kanak; special friend Diane Samida; brother-in-law Orest Ochitwa; sisters-in-law, Florence Maryniak, Sylvia Maryniak and Gladys (Bud) Tetrault; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
