It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Kaleb Eli Busch, age 5, of Lloydminster, Alta,, peacefully in his mommy’s arms.
Kaleb was born in Lloydminster, Sask., and was faced with a tough beginning from day one. He received his second chance, a gift of life, when he had a heart transplant at just 10 days old. He was a fighter from the day he was born, and continued to do so by adjusting to life with cerebral palsy, which he never ever let stop him; then showing us even more strength and determination by beating cancer at age 4. Kaleb fought a battle like no other, and made everyone who knew him so proud; but sadly, his little body was just too tired to fight anymore.
Kaleb was predeceased by Grandpa Alan Busch and Grandma Lorette Ivaniski.
He leaves to morn his loving parents, Terry-Lynn Ivaniski and Owen Busch of Lloydminster, Alta.; Grandpa Leslie Ivaniski of Ashern, Man.; Grandma Elaine Busch of Hazel Dell; Aunties Shanna Ivaniski of Marshall, Sask.; Donna Wilson of Regina; Kathy Short (Tim) of Landmark, Man.; Barb Maines (Ross) of Calgary; Arlene Drake (Justin) of Tyndall, Man; Uncle Bill Ivaniski (Joanne) of Red Lake, Ont,; as well as numerous cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.
We would like to thank the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, where Kaleb spent many days of his short life. His numerous doctors and nurses ensured that he had the best possible care they could give him.
