It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leslie (Les) Laverne Terry on May 30th, 2023 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Les was born on a farm near Tribune, SK on September 30th, 1937. The family moved later to a farm west of Rapid City, MB, where Les attended Oakleigh School. Following school, he worked as a mechanic in Rivers, MB, then moved to Brandon where he continued as a mechanic until he took a meat cutting course at the Red River College in Winnipeg. As a butcher, he worked in many places in northern Saskatchewan. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and took great pleasure in music.
Les loved playing guitar and singing, entertaining people at jams, barn dances and gigs. He met many people and made many friends along the way through music. When Les retired, he moved to Lac la Plonge, SK, then later Fosston and finally Kelvington.
Les is survived by his brother Jim and his sister Myrna as well as several nieces and nephews. Les was predeceased by his parents Alice and Oscar, his brothers Dennis and Eldon, and his sisters Alvina and Leona.
