It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Desjarlais on Saturday, November 5th, 2022, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
Linda was pre-deceased by her parents Raymond Desjarlais and Irene Smoke, her brothers David, Ivan, and Matthew Smoke Jr, and her grandson Trinity Squirrel.
Linda leaves to mourn her daughters Jamie (David), Jessica (Stacy), and Janine Young, and her beloved grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her siblings Hilda, Malcolm, Verna and Beverly Lynn, along with many family members such as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda was a creative and beautiful soul. She was loving and caring along with all the attributes in that nature. She loved sewing and making her moss bags for the newest members of the family. She would design the cutest moss bags and gift them as the babies would arrive. She loved beading and had a knack for sewing and would sometimes design her own purses/bags. She even made her own “bingo” bag for her dabbers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it be a day at the beach or at a session of bingo, as long as it was with her family.
Linda’s personality was beyond this world. She had a great sense of humour, and she was always joking and being silly with everyone. She worked until she could no longer work any more. She prided herself on being able to provide for her family and grandchildren. The wellbeing of her family was her main priority. The love she had for her daughters and grandchildren was vast and unconditional. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be forever missed.
