Lorraine was born on October 28, 1953, in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. She was the oldest of three children born to Irmgard and Rudolph Lowenberger. She attended school in Kandahar and Wynyard.
In May 1974, she married Earl Gliddon. Together they settled on a farm south of Kandahar, where they raised their two children, Sheila and Lee. Lorraine enjoyed gardening and baking as well as making leather moccasins and mitts. Her summers were often spent travelling to local farmer’s markets where she would sell her creations.
Earl and Lorraine divorced in 1996. In September 1998, she married David Moulton and they settled on an acreage near Plunkett, Saskatchewan. David started working as a long-haul semi driver. Lorraine loved to travel to different areas of Canada and the U.S. with him. She loved seeing new places. After a few years of that, Lorraine decided to turn her love of cooking and baking into a career by becoming a cook in drilling camps. She always said that cooking “wasn’t work.” While cooking, she met many people and made many new friends. Lorraine continued to live on her acreage near Plunkett following David’s passing in 2014.
In June 2016, she began her battle with cancer. Throughout her battle, she never gave up. She continued to do the things she loved she loved to travel and enjoyed her family holidays with her children to Mexico in 2016, and a three-week trip to Alaska in the summer of 2017.
She continued to live at Plunkett until her health deteriorated. At that time, she moved to Archerwill to live near Sheila until the time of her passing. Lorraine died peacefully on June 4, 2018.
