Louise Elizabeth Rustad, age 77, of Saskatoon, SK passed away on April 16, 2019 in Saskatoon, SK.
Louise was born on February 19, 1942 to Arthur (Jack) and Ellen Leech in Kelvington, SK. She married Donald Rustad on August 5, 1963 in Rose Valley, SK and they had three sons: Curtis, Grant and Warren.
Louise worked various clerking jobs including Safeway Canada in Edmonton and Rose Valley Pharmacy while raising her three boys. She relocated to Banff and worked at a flower shop and the Whyte Museum. She also held numerous stamping workshops while living in Banff. She retired and moved to Saskatoon in 2011.
She was very busy with stamping, card making, genealogy, reading, and her beloved cat, Smokee. She was a family history junkie, constantly compiling seemingly useless information and ensuring to all that would listen that they heard about it at least once (or more)!!! She was a member of Beta, the Rec Board, Museum Board, Library Board and Elvis Fan Club. She enjoyed history, genealogy, Elvis, cards, reading, cats and gardening.
Louse is survived by her sons Curtis (Marlene), Grant (Valerie) and Warren (Jacky), granddaughters Kayla (Ryan) of Martensville, SK and Kari of Saskatoon, SK, grandsons Jeremy (Katelyn) of Kindersley, SK and Matthew (Jenna) of Prince Albert, SK, sisters Evelyn (Emil) Schnieder of Saskatoon, SK, Connie Holtz of Edmonton, AB and Jackie (Reg) McNairn of Saskatoon, SK, brother Johnny Leech of Strathmore, AB as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur (Jack) and Ellen Leech, grandparents Arthur and Elizabeth Leech, brother Morris Leech, niece Yvonne, nephew Sid, sister-in-law Maxine and brother-in-law Armand.
