Margaret Prouse

Margaret Mary Smith was born on October 2, 1922, to Julia and Andrew Smith. She was the third child and first daughter of a family of eight. Margaret passed away at the age of 94 on January 8, 2017, at the Kelvindell Lodge with family at her side.
At a young age, Margaret married Lloyd Little and they had three children: Muriel, Vern and Steven. In 1957, she married Nelson Prouse and they had three more children: Cliff, Patsy and Kelly.
Margaret lived in the Lintlaw area her entire life. The loss of her sight forced her to move to the Kelvindell Lodge in 2010. She loved to cook, garden, sew, visit, and drive her car. Margaret was a life-time member of the St. Stephen’s Women’s Auxiliary. She was member of the Sunshine Belles and the community choir.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Nels (2007); her son Steven (1960); her parents; brothers, Henry, Reg, Cliff and Earl; and sister Kay.
Margaret is surved by children, Muriel (Ron) Heal, Vern Little, Cliff Prouse, Patsy (Cameron) Last, and Kelly (Sheryl) Prouse; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Larkin and Grace Potter; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Olive Smith, Mark Larkin, Bob and Beryl Prouse, Merle and Ben Eldridge; and by many nieces and nephews.
