In sadness and joy we said farewell to Mary Ann Schultz on August 24, 2014.
She was born on July 29, 1937, youngest of seven children, to Thomas "Boffey" and Hazel Mottram. Mary Ann was raised on the family farm, learning from a young age how to be a homemaker, caregiver and farmer's helper. She attended school at Roscommon and Kelvington.
On January 31, 1955, she married William Schultz. Together they raised their children, Barry and Charlott on the Schultz home farm. In 1982 they moved to and eventually retired in Kelvington.
Mary Ann was a multi-tasker, managing to keep a "spic and span" house while growing a large garden and tending a beautiful yard. Never one to be idle, she added cooking at Kelvington Auction Market and then working as a nurse's aide at Kelvington Hospital for 23 years.
Celebrating Mary Ann's life are her husband William; son Barry; daughter-in-law Sandra; daughter Charlott; son-in-law Garth; grandchildren, Patrick (Kyra), Lacey (Kris), Rayme (Bryce), Karla (Chris) and Jenna (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Hudson, Reid, Ava and Porsche; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
