Michael Natowcappo

July 24, 1967 — November 27, 2024

Edmonton, AB

Michael Natowcappo left us suddenly on November 27,2024 in Edmonton Alberta, aged 57. Born on July 24,1967 in Kelvington, SK to Betty Natowcappo and Gordon Lumberjack.

Michael was a very loving man, who always went out of his way to help his friends and family. Mike was sensitive, compassionate, and always had a good sense of humor; he could share laughter with anyone. Mike was able to laugh at himself and in doing so it made others around him more comfortable with themselves. He always put others before himself, he was a selfless man and fun to be around. Some may know him as “Bingo Mike”, as he was known to love playing bingo and was lucky too, often sharing his winnings with others. He loved animals, cats being his favourite. He loved his animals just as much as he loved mustard and playing card games.

To his friends and family, who have known him to call and wish a happy birthday; Mike let people know that he was thinking about them. He was a good listener, he wanted people to feel heard, especially children. Mike wanted to make sure children were happy, and his family meant everything to him. “Every child should be heard” - Michael N (1999).

Michael was a residential school survivor and grew up in Fishing Lake First Nation, and was very respectful to his culture. If there was a ceremony happening, Mike participated and if, in his absence, of course offered his help with what he could give.

In 2006 Mike met Donna and moved to Edmonton where he resided with his family until his final day. Mike gave his heart to his boys, Percy and Morris, his stepson Roger and spouse Donna.

Remembered by: his Partner Donna Pambrun. His sisters, Dale Natowcappo (Leo) Verna Natowcappo (Donny). And brothers, Wayne Natowcappo (Laura) Glen (Virginia), and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mike was predeceased by his parents and his sisters May Natowcappo, Hazel Natowcappo, and Sylvia Lumberjack, his brothers Bob Natowcappo, Stanley Natowcappo, Gordon Natowcappo, and David Natowcappo.
