Myron Christopher Holte was born on May 14, 1953 in Wadena, SK. He was the first-born child to Christopher and Margaret Holte. Myron passed away suddenly, at his home in Hendon, SK at the age of 67.

Myron grew up on the family farm west of Hendon. Losing his father at a young age brought on many responsibilities for him. He did whatever he had to, to ensure his mom and sisters were taken care of. When he was 16, he quit school and went to Alberta to work building roads. This work opened up many doors for him which led to a career of operating and selling heavy equipment.

Throughout his life he was employed at several different dealerships, selling heavy duty, and forestry equipment. He was employed by CN Rail, Kramer, Redhead, Strongco, and John Deere to name a few. He also took over the family farm and spent many years farming. He was an award-winning salesman and we always told him he could sell ice to an eskimo. His salesmen jobs took him to many locations throughout Canada and the United States. The last number of years, he spent first, trucking in the arctic, then operating equipment in the northern Alberta oilfield. He loved the north and the peace of being in the bush.

Myron was a true outdoorsman. He had a true passion for hunting and fishing. He would spend weeks tracking animals and always knew where to find the biggest bucks. He passed much of his hunting knowledge to Brett, Brittanny, his nephews, and Sharon’s grandchildren. He loved to travel and visit historical places. He loved to take Brett and Brittanny travelling to various places with him. Him and Sharon spent a lot of good years together. Travelling to various places within Canada, the U.S and Cuba. One of his favourite yearly trips with Sharon was Norsk Hostfest in Minot.

Myron was a man of few words, until it was a topic, he was passionate about. He may not have received a grade 12 education, but he was a very intelligent man. He would spend hours reading, and was very knowledgeable about several different topics, mainly, history and politics. His work ethic was like no other. He spent many years doing different things, but he truly enjoyed it all. Throughout the years working in different places, he fostered many lasting friendships. He took care of everyone and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed.

Although his passing was sudden, he spent his last days doing what he loved. He wasn’t weathered with illness, or troubled about planning his final days. He was able to spend his last morning with Sharon drinking coffee in a place he loved. It was a true privilege to have him in our lives.

Myron will be lovingly remembered by: son, Brett; daughter, Brittanny (Trevor) Latoski; partner, Sharon Bell; sister, Gail Donald; sister, Mavis (Dwayne) Bobinski; sister, Glynis Dvernichuk; step-children, Greg (Jen) Bell; Stacey Forgrave (Travis Ramsfield); Scott Bell; Myron’s honorary grandchildren, Kailyn (Evan), Gavin, Kirsten, Luke, Emily, Alexis, Jacob; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Gerry) Rorick; Chris (April) Donald; Chanda Bobinski (Craig Rudolph); Trevor (Ashia) Bobinski; Reann (Greg) Young; Jodi (Shawn) Daviduk, Nic (Amanda) Dvernichuk; Jacque Dvernichuk; great nieces and nephews, Nikolai, Rory, Dayden, Cohen, Tessa, Alexie, Rylen, Chase, Rhett.
