Nola Ann Harris was born in Wadena, Sask., on April 13, 1936, to Noel and Jennie Harris. She was raised in Paswegin, Sask. and took her early schooling there, completing her high school education in Wadena. Nola completed her nurses training in Saskatoon in 1957 and soon after began a nursing career at the Wadena Hospital that spanned 42 years. She always took great pride in doing a good job, showing care and compassion to all the patients in her care. She also had many stories of all the fun times she had with the girls she worked with over the years.
In the spring of 1957, Nola married Phil Norberg. From this union they raised two sons, Randy and Rick. Throughout the years, they were fortunate enough to take many trips as they enjoyed travelling and seeing different parts of the world.
Early on, Nola learned and became quite proficient at knitting, making countless items such as afghans, slippers toques, sweaters, etc. Later on, she enjoyed attending many crafts shows with her sister Elaine and niece Brenda.
Nola was always well organized, maintained a tidy house and yard and kept a daily diary from the time she was 13 years old.
Many times she commented on what wonderful neighbours she had when snow need to be shovelled and appointments to get to.
Nola was very proud of her granddaughters and their accomplishments and was always very excited to spend time with them and their families. She held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren.
On December 15, 2017, her heart was broken when her husband Phil passed away.
Although we lost Mom a short six months after Dad’s passing, we are comforted in knowing they are together again.
On June 21, 2018, Nola passed away at the Wadena Hospital after a brief illness.
Nola was predeceased by her husband Phil; her parents, Noel and Jennie Harris; and sister- and brother-in-law Elaine and Clifford Jones.

Left to mourn her passing are sons, Randy (Susan) and Rick; two granddaughters, Kristin (Ray Teskey) and their children, Emersyn, Aliyah and Bennett; Megan (Mark Hewson) and their son Berkley; the Jones family, Ron (Arlene), Brad (Wanda), Brenda, Kelly (Jo), Bob (Lori) and all their families.
