Pearl was born on the farm in the district of Wadena, where she lived with her parents Donald and Rachel McDonald. She was 1 of 10 siblings. She went to school in Paswegan.
She married Willard Smith on Nov 4th 1952 in Naicam Sk. There they lived on the farm in the Naicam area enjoying all aspects of farm life together. Together they raised 10 children Alvin, Gail, Gloria, Joy , Shirley, Billy, Melvin, Lorne, Rhonda, Sherrie.
Mom also worked as a Home Care/Pallative Care Aide for many years where she excelled and became very proud of her profession.
Mom enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, sewing, painting, crocheting, skiing , and fishing.
After Mom and dad retired from farming, they moved to Naicam where she continued working for Home Care until she retired. After the passing of dad she moved to Quill Lake to be near her children and grandchildren where she enjoyed taking care of them.
After years of friendship Mom and Max Misfeldt were married on June 2,2016. They shared valued time together. They enjoyed Casino trips, fishing, gardening and companionship.
Mom continued to live in Quill Lake, after Max’s passing , to be near her family . When mom’s health declined Shirley stayed with her and helped her with all her needs until mom’s passing on Nov 1st.
Mom was predeceased by husband Willard and husband Max, brothers Kenny, Melvin,and Malcolm; sisters Vi, Bertha and Nellie. Parents Donald and Rachel, son-Alvin, daughters- Gail and Ellen; grandson- Mark and great grandson Damon.
Mom was truly loved and will be truly missed.
A Graveside Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday November 9, 2024 at the Naicam Cemetery
