Peggy Lee Hamilton (Bjerland) passed away suddenly on July 19, 2018, at home in Rose Valley, Sask., at the age of 70. Peggy was born July 18, 1948, in Nipiwan, Sask. She lived in many locations as a child but called Wadena her home town. She was married to Melvyn Bjerland on January 13, 1968, and they lived with their family in both Saskatoon and Rose Valley. They had one son, Clint, and two daughters, Holli and Jan.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Bernice Hamilton; brother Keith Hamilton; parents-in-law, Helga and Thorben Bjerland; and sister-in-law Arlie Kolbenson.
Peggy is survived by her ex-husband and friend, Melvyn Bjerland; her children, Clint Bjerland, Holli Bjerland and Jan Stout; daughter-in-law Gladys; sons-in-law, Tim and Eric; grandsons, Brett, Wade, James and Loric; granddaughters, Kayla, Oreon, Mya and Willow; grandson-in-law Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Linden, Thomas and Mideon; as well as sister Patricia Hankewich and her family.
Above all else, Peggy’s favourite pastime was spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Peggy also loved spending time in her garden and bird watching. She was very creative and enjoyed sketching, painting and writing poetry. She was a skilled seamstress and spent considerable time knitting, crocheting and doing embroidery. She was also an avid reader.
One cannot imagine how much she will be missed.
