Ray Harvie Presber was born on the Presber homestead on June 23, 1938. He was raised on the farm with his sisters Elaine, Faye and Fern. He attended Violetdale School up until grade 9 when moved to Naicam School to finish his grade 12. He worked for Sask Power and Kramer Tractor in Saskatoon then moved to Kamloops, B.C. where he finished his training as a heavy duty mechanic at Finning Tractor. He worked at Finning Tractor, including 4 years in Inuvik, N.W.T. until he returned to Naicam in 1982c to go farming. He farmed and worked a Cropper Motors until he retired at the age of 70.
He was active in the New Life Community Church and served on the board for many years. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and enjoyed all sports. He was very much a family man who loved camping and visiting with children and grandchildren. He was a gentle loving husband, father and grandfather.
Harvie was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Violet Presber, his sister, Faye McLean and his daughter Tara. He is survived by his loving wife Vi and their children, Brent (Kristin) Presber; Melanie (Nathan) Cressman; Curtis (Lois) Presber; grandsons Caleb, Carter and Cohen Presber; Kaden, Bennett, Hunter, and Reed Cressman; Carson, Lincoln and Nixon Presber; his sisters, Elaine (Nom) Newberry and Fern (Lorne) Hepworth; brother-in-law Don (Marion) McClean; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Community Church, 420- 2nd Ave N, Naicam SK S0K 2Z0.
