Raymond Andronowich was born to Joseph and Signe Andronowich on February 28, 1947, in Wadena, Saskatchewan, the third youngest of 10 children. Raymond attended Westport School until June 1964 when Westport closed and the students were bussed to Wadena, where he finished his high school. Raymond loved sports and was good at them - particularly track and field, for which he received medals. He also loved football and hockey. Raymond worked on various construction crews in Prince George, Snow Lake, also in Ontario and other places. He also worked at different jobs in Wadena, finishing his working career at the Central Regional Landfill Waste Management site. Back in 1950 we all remembered when Raymond disappeared from the farm and we had a search crew and police joined in the search. Later, he was found by our uncle in a slough one-half to three-quarters of a mile away from the farm. Raymond lived on the farm most of his time until moving into Wadena. He liked meeting with friends and going to the lake to fish. Raymond took ill and went to Saskatoon, where he spent seven weeks with his sister Sophia, who cared for him until he was admitted to Palliative Care, where he remained until his passing. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Signe Andronowich; sister-in-law Shirley Andronowich; brother Stanley Andronowich; brother-in-law Roman Borysko; and sister Frances Borysko. He leaves behind his sisters and brothers: Mary (William) Oleynik of Yorkton, Walter (Iris) Andronowich of Lethbridge; Sophia (Robert) Pearson of Saskatoon; Florence (Colin) Kenney of Vernon; Edward Andronowich of Winnipeg; Linda (Randy) Napady of Wroxton and Andrew Andronowich of Saskatoon; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
