Richard David Letestu was born on May 9, 1955 in Kelvington, SK to Emile and Mildred Letestu. He passed away on September 20, 2019 in Rose Valley, SK, at the age of 64.

Ricky grew up farming with his family; his brother Garth and sisters Val and Paulette worked alongside their parents but Susan and Norman were still too little so they just got to tag along and pretend to work. Ricky did work the Diamond Drills for a few years. Then he worked construction with the Torgerson Boys whom he considered his other family. But once he found his true love occupation “Truck Driving” that’s what he stuck with and I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, his dad, Emile, was a truck driver too and Emile taught Ricky all he knew.

He enjoyed driving truck, watching movies and his dogs, Boe and Jax. He loved going to Susan and Sheldon’s farm because to Ricky it was his farm and it was home to him.

Ricky is survived by his sons Shawn Pennington and Braeden Kovlaske; granddaughters Jorja and Ava; sisters Valerie Pikor, Paulette (Wade) Edin and Susan (Sheldon) Czarnocki; brothers Garth (Deanna) and Norman (Sunji) Letestu; nieces Amy, Alicia, Uchka and Toya; nephews Mark (Brett), Lee (Amanda), DJ (Mandy), Jason (Kathy), Justin (Jodi), Reagen (Giselle), Dylan (Caitlin) and Tylor; great nieces Haley, Jersey, Myla, Blake, Ayden, Naomi and Natalie and great nephews Harlen, Hayden, Caleb, Dylan, Connor, Grady, Benjamin, Austin, Levi and Zyden. He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Mildred.
