Richard Olafson

Richard Lyle Olafson (age 68) passed away on March 4, 2017, at Tisdale Hospital after his long battle against cancer.
He was the husband of Sharon Olafson. They shared 45 years of marriage and made a beautiful life together.
Richard was born on May 15, 1948, in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan. He was the son of Inez (Sather) and Olaf Olafson. He worked on the diamond drills, and became a very respected man in this field.
Richard was an amazing man. His smile and beautiful blue eyes could melt your heart. He loved to be outdoors, hunting or fishing. He was an amazing cook with some of the craziest dishes around. He loved to tease. If he could stretch a story to make it better or bug someone he would. He was truly loved by all who knew him, and will be remembered and missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Olafson; children, Serena Graham (Ernie), Jason Olafson (Bertina), Jeremy Olafson (Regan), Samantha Christianson (Bradley); grandchildren, Paige Sintal (Brayden), Breanna Olafson (Tyrel), Justin Olafson, Brittany Fedirko (Dan), Cassidy Graham, Kayden Graham, Karlie Christianson, Pacey Olafson, Max Olafson, Chloe Christianson, Lexi Olafson; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Strandlund, Blaise Cotterill, Tatum Strandlund: sister Mavis (Larry) Ross; and many other special people who were in his life.
