Rolyn (Pelera) Mesias, aged 43, of Invermay, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. She was born on August 25, 1981, in Zamboanga, Philippines, to Romeo Pelera and Adelia Senangote. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and boundless enthusiasm.
Rolyn was a dedicated Continuing Care Aid at Invermay Health Centre. Her commitment to her role was marked by a genuine compassion and a spirited demeanor, earning her the affectionate nickname “Braguda” from those who knew her. Her vibrant personality and warmth made her a cherished presence among both colleagues and residents.
Outside of her professional life, Rolyn was a woman of diverse interests and passions. She had a deep love for animals, which she demonstrated through her caring nature. Her enjoyment of rodeo was a reflection of her adventurous spirit, while her baking and love for good food brought joy to her family and friends. She was also known for her beloved green Fino motorcycle, which she rode with pride and a sense of freedom.
Rolyn was fondly known by many names, including Ro, LynLyn, and Dai. These names symbolize the deep connections she had with those around her. As a devoted wife to Hernane Mesias Jr. and a loving mother to Michael Jacob (14), Perseus Gabriel (10), Alyssa Jayne (9), and Raphael (3). Rolyn's life was centered around her family. Her role as a daughter, wife, mother , classmate, neighbor, and friend further highlighted her nurturing and supportive nature.
She is survived by her husband Hernane Mesias Jr., her sons Michael Jacob, Perseus Gabriel, and Raphael, and her daughter Alyssa Jayne. She is also deeply mourned by her parents, Romeo Pelera and Adelia Senangote, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who were touched by her kindness and infectious joy.
Rolyn will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
