Ruby Regina (Wickstrom) Johnson passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2018.
Ruby was born on September 16, 1925. She attended school in the Rosebud area and then worked in Prince Rubert, B.C., before returning to the Rose Valley-Fosston area to work for Magnus Johnson as housekeeper and caregiver for his young family.
Ruby and Magnus were married in 1950. They had one son, Myron.
Magnus and Ruby sold the farm and retired to Rose Valley to enjoy time with friends and family. She enjoyed curling and a bus tour to eastern Canada with her lady friends. A trip to Sweden to visit her special friend Martha was a memory she talked about often. Ruby especially enjoyed birthday parties and coffee times.
Ruby lived in Rose Valley until November 2013, when she moved into the villa in Kelvington and met some new friends.
Ruby was predeceased by her mother in 1944, her father in 1980, her husband Magnus Johnson in 1985, step-daughter Doreen in 2013, and son-in-law Ray Gronsdahl in 2015. She was also predeceased by siblings, Clifford, Russell, Grant, Mervin, Hjalmer, Joan and Julia; and by several sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Ruby is survived by her son Myron; step-children, Florence Thompson, Vivian Gronsdahl, Joyce (Mel) Rich, Elaine (Jerry) Hauge and Don (Lorraine) Johnson; sisters, Beatrice (Adam) Andruchow and Birdie (Fred) Nilsen; and by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great- and great, great-grandchildren.
