Stephen James (Jim) Little was born to Frank & Grace Little on the family farm located at SE 9-36-9-W2. Jim passed away unexpectedly at Royal Univerity Hospital in Saskatoon on December 21, 2014. Jim was the youngest of six brothers: Lloyd, Wilbert, John, George & Harold. Jim recieved his education at Lintlaw School to grade 10, then went to Shilo, MB as a soldier apprentice. After that he returned to Lintlaw and took his grade 11 & 12 at Sturgis, SK. After graduation Jim & Vern Little went to Saskatoon to find employment. Jim applied for a station agent position with teh C.N.R., which enventually took hom to many different communities in those six years. During his work for the railway Jim also began a course in municipal work.
Jim met Georgie Kells in Elfros, Sk on February 4, 1966 while he was employed at the R.M. of Elfros. Jim moved to Young SK in 1967, to work as R.M. Secretary for the R.M. of Morris. Jim & Georgie were married on July 27, 1968. Then, Jim got the appointment to work at the R.M. of Hazel Dell and they were able to move back to Lintlaw. Jim retired from his job at the R.M. of Sasman after 34 years of municipal work, but continued to work as a supervisor training new R.M. Secretaries. Jim & Georgie also ran an insurance business, Little Agencies, for a number of years.
Jim was involved in many organizations, including: the Lintlaw Legion, Morse Telegraph Club, Elfros Masonic Lodge, Kelvindell Lodge, the Lions Clun at Young, the R.M. Administrators Association, and St. Stephens Anglican Church. Jim & Georgie enjoyed many full and busy retirement ears, during which they spent 15 winters in Yuma, Arizona.
Jim was predeceased by his parents , Frank & Grace, his five older brothers Lloyd, Wilbert, John, George & Harold, and their wives, his in-laws George & Mabel Kells and his brother-in-law Duncan George.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 46 and a half years, Georgie Little, his daughter Camille (Bob), his sons Jason (Kimberly), Craig (Christine) five grandchildren Braden, Brett, Bryce, Conner & Mackenzie, great-granddaughter Elliott, sister-in-law Margaret Prouse, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim will be missed by all who knew him.
