Verna Wilson

Vera Miranda Wilson (Numedahl) was born on February 8, 1923, in the Dahlton district to Herman and Lilla (Misfeldt) Numedahl. She was the youngest of three children.Vera married Harold Wilson in November 1945. They resided on their farm and together raised five children.She was gifted at knitting, crocheting, sewing and especially quilting. Vera suffered a stroke in July 1998 and spent her remaining years with limited eye sight and confined to a wheelchair. Because of this, a move into Archerwill was made.After Harold's death in December 1999, Vera lived alone until a fall in June 2011 necessitated a move into Sasko Park Lodge in Tisdale, then into New Market Manor when Sasko closed in March of this year. This was her home until her passing on November 29.Vera was predeceased by her husband Harold; daughter Linda Lewyk; son Keith; grandson Michael; granddaughter-in-law Angie; her parents; and by her siblings, Orville Numedahl and Wilma Pierce.Left to mourn are her family: granddaughter Erin Lewyk; son Glenn (Linda) Wilson: Jason, children, Leah (her children, Hayden and Aurora), Allie (Colby), Michael and Jessica; Dale (Carrie), children, Cody, Wyatt, Brock and Kacie; son Ted (Sharon) Wilson: Derek (Cora Whitford); Trevor (Nicole Soucy), daughter Peyton; Sarah (Matt Spencer); and Matthew (Jessica Worobetz); daughter Barbara (Dwight) Hagen: Darnell (Donna), daughters, Ella and Freya; Somer (Shawn) Wourms, children, Warren, Austin, Kenton and Serena; Lance (Courtney); Adriel (Stacey Crump); Whitney (Brad) Meiklejohn, son Oscar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.She was a gallant lady who took things in stride and never became bitter.She will be missed!
